TTS20 Three-Tank-System
The
Three-Tank-System consists of three plexiglass-cylinders
which are serially interconnected by stop valves.
The pumps1 and 2 suck distilled water from
the basin, thus supplying the two cylinders on
the left- and right-hand side of the set-up. The level
of the liquid inside all three cylinders is supervised via process pressure transmitters. The basin and the three
cylinders present a unit manufactured out of plexiglass.

Actuator
with signal adaption
The
amplifier, the mains supply unit and a signal adaption unit are contained
inside of a 19’’-box. The box also contains the electrical disturbance unit:
The 3 sensor signals can be disrupted by switches or scaled by potentiometers.
The control signals for the pumps can be scaled via potentiometers.
Mains: (230 V, 50/60 Hz on request 110 V, 50/60 Hz)
Amplifier
inputs :
- Pump
control signals: 0 ... +10 V
Amplifier
outputs :
- Voltages
for the pumps: +12 V (PWM)
Inputs
of the signal adaption unit :
- 3
sensor signals, range: 0 ... 20 mA
- 2
control signals for the pumps in the range: -10 ... +10 V
Outputs
of the signal adaption unit :
- Liquid
levels of cylinders: ±10 V +9 V = 0 cm, -8.61V = 60 cm
- 2
control signals for the pumps in the range: 0 ... +10 V
Controller
(Option 20-02)
A/D-D/A-card and executable
controller program for a PC with PCIe slot running with WINDOWS (for
WINDOWS 7-10). The controller program provides a simple menu
control (sampling period default 50 ms, adjustable in the range 1-54
ms).
Inputs
:
- 3
sensor signals: -10 ... +10 V at 14 Bit A/D-converter.
Outputs
:
- 2
control signals -10 ... +10 V from for the amplifier 14 Bit D/A-
conv.
Program
C-source (Option 20-03)
The
controller program from Option 20-02 in C++ source with library functions
for graphic output, controlling the sampling period as well as controlling
the PC adapter card requires the Embarcadero C++ Builder V10.
